Amphorae vessels were used to transport olive oil and wine. Interior designers typically will use the amphora vases as you would a piece of sculpture and they are equally at home placed inside the house or outside. This particular Olive Oil Jar is an unusual size, in that most of the jars tend to be about 4-5 feet high and this beautiful jar is just over 2-feet in height. See less
