Today, we are so touched with technology that we take for granted photographs and such. A computer in the late 1800's, they would have loved it however, I think air conditioning would have been much more exciting though I'm not sure. Anyway, this child's solemn demeanor is caught in this fine painting retaining its original period frame. The chair, wear on her shoe, and the frills of her dress add so many feminine touches that you believe it has to be a girl.... See less
