This large brass pot came to us by way of England, and we believe it originated somewhere in the Middle East. It is full of ornate detail. The bas-relief features an elaborate scene, complete with flora and fauna. Its brass finish has a rich patina.It wears its age beautifully. The collar features plenty of texture as well. There are expected signs of age and wear, including some oxidation (see photos), which are indicative of the story and history of the piece.
The pot measures approximately 12.5" wide x 9.75" tall at its largest point. The opening is about 9.5" wide. It weighs in at about 3.75 lbs.
