This … Read more A Pair of Original Art Deco Armchairs, probably made in Italy by amazing craftsmen, between the 1920s and 1930s. This set is made up of 2 Mid Century Armchairs in solid hardwood with cane seats. The elegance of the art deco style is visible in the minimal design, as in the projects signed by the bBauhaus, and in the sweeping curves of the wooden structure. The seats and backrests in woven cane are a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. The dense weave seems to be a fabric created by warp and weft with a geometric decoration; in fact, the thin cane bands create concentric rhombuses. These Vintage armchairs have been restored respecting the originality of the piece and the patina of the time. The structure was stabilized and solidified by a professional restorer, the feet were re-dyed black, as originally. the surface polished with shellac. Despite the restoration, the armchairs show minimal signs of use and age. See less
