This vintage bottle … Read more A precious decanter, certainly made in Europe and dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. This vintage bottle was probably intended to contain a grape-based spirit, such as grappa or wine. We deduced this information based on the shape of the decanter, narrow on the neck of the bottle and rounded at the base; but above all for the decorative motif of the vine leaves visible in several places on the object. The vine leaves decorate a fine mask embossed in the silver band that tightens the neck of the bottle, others are engraved in the cap, and then, the most evident ones on the Greek key that decorates the central part with a fine and skilful craftsmanship. The engraved decoration is even more accentuated by the alternating straw yellow and transparent color of the crystal. The bottle is intact and has no damaged parts, however there are slight signs of oxidation and aging on the glass. The silver surface was recently polished by us. See less
