The pieces … Read more This pair of Daphne vases was designed by the artist Bele Bachem (1916 Düsseldorf-2005 Munich) for Karlsruher Majolika. The pieces are from the 1976 limited edition (No. 147/999). The female busts feature glazed polychrome hand-painting with long, slender neck and sculptural headdress in the shape of a lettuce head. Signed on the base and inscribed on the underside.
