It has a miniature of a Basilica on top.......gilt metal mounts with beautiful filigree on the sides. This is most likely an Italian piece........the Basilica probably is St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. It is from circa 1830…… most likely a keepsake from the Grand Tour. See less
