Titled: After the Beginning, one of his most desirable large serigraph silkscreen works. It depicts inter galactic outer space with planets, orbs of bright day glo, neon color in a sci fi landscape.
Born in New York City and living in St. Louis, Missouri, Stan Solomon works with acrylic paint and creates images in a style best described as neo-geo. His intention is to make the viewer feel like he or she is taking a voyage in outer space "where they see brightly colored spheres and geometric forms that make up the fantastic 21st century images" of a futurist painter. Included in most of his images is the silhouetted head of a dog and an HB number located on the bottom of each piece. This number refers to the number of paintings that Solomon has completed since the disappearance of his dog named Honie Bonie.
Soloman is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography in California and New York Institute of Technology. Between academic degrees, Stan served his country with a tour of duty in Japan. After The Brooks Institute, Stan taught photography at Every Woman's Village. A career in freelance Photography occupied five years of Stan's creative endeavors. A Renaissance man in the truest sense, Stan Solomon is a self-taught artist. Energetic colors and shapes define vividly detailed background spaces. Bold chroma acrylics define a signature theme that echoes throughout the breadth of this artist's prolific body of work.
