It features an all-over Herati pattern spread across the abrashed field. The Classic Herati pattern, also known as the Mahi or Fish pattern, is amongst the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. It is enclosed with a series of geometric Shekeri style border flanked with an inner and outer Meander guard border.
