A striking Asian Bronze and Gilt Foo Dog Lamp, either Japanese or Chinese, comprised of three meticulously detailed foo dogs … Read more A striking Asian Bronze and Gilt Foo Dog Lamp, either Japanese or Chinese, comprised of three meticulously detailed foo dogs back to back forming a circle, with open mouths and arched ears with gilt chest plates and a multitude of gilt accents, the base with a ring of floral motifs, all resting on a raised wooden base. The figure looks like it is of 19th century origin and converted to a lamp later. Finely detailed, the figure alone stands a foot tall and 8” in diameter. Overall height is 28”. There is NO shade. A beautiful sculpture in its own right. See less
