A solid oak paneled coffer from the Netherlands, circa 1800. This sturdy trunk has a paneled design on its top, front, and side panels with a wonderful grain and patina gained over time. The lid opens on forged iron hinges to a wide-open interior for organizing to your needs (like blankets and sweaters) and at over 30" tall it becomes an unexpected sideboard to take advantage of the potential surface area as well as the capacity.
