Signed on bottom, edge … Read more Vintage mid 20th century abstract pottery bowl or ashtray by Joel Edwards (1923 - 2007) California. Signed on bottom, edge and side cutouts, ochre and brown matte glaze, speckled gray glazed interior. Well known Californian potter he studied at the Brooklyn Museum School in Brooklyn, New York and MFA Otis Art Institute (now Otis College of Art and Design) in Los Angeles, California. Edwards was a student of Peter Voulkos at Otis. He also studied under Marguerite Wildenhain and Soji Hamada. Excellent condition. See less
