This stunning four-panel Thai Teak wood Hand carved mid-century room divider is a true one of a kind. Each panel depicts the finest carvings of the national emblem of Thailand called Phra Khrut Pha. The Garuda was officially adopted as the national emblem in 1911. The mythical creature has been used as a symbol of royalty in Thailand for centuries. This piece is unlike many openwork, it is carved on both sides.
This piece was obtained from one of the summer palaces in Thailand. While this is a vintage piece it has been well maintained.
