The Vollard Suite ranks among the greatest graphic achievements of The 20th Century, many consider it the masterpiece of Picasso's etching work.

The suite which included five thematic sections begins with the theme of The Sculptor's studio. Picasso's mistress Marie Therese Walter is portrayed as the model in the sculptor's studio. In these images, Walter is a recurring presence, offering visual commentary on the relationship between the artist and his muse.
