Margaret of Valois, 1553-1615, daughter of Catherine de Medici and Henry II of France, became Queen of Navarre by her marriage to Henry III of Navarre and later, Queen of France in 1589. This bust is rendered in great detail and is in very good condition given the fact that it is 100 years old. There are minor chips and paint loss to the laced bodice and jeweled head band, but no breaks. A beautiful and serene sculpture. See less
