Substantial Victorian fireplace surround with arched aperture. Carved from muted Carrera marble with intricate and abundant grape vine, fruit and floral motifs. Imported from Europe to America where it found it's 130 year resting place in a Palo Alto residence built in 1890. The finish has mellowed over time to a soft satin luster.
Meticulously removed and in undamaged condition.
Overall: 79" wide x 48" tall x 16" projection from wall at the deepest point where the mantelpiece curves outward.
Opening: 39" wide x 34" tall.
Base/hearth: 17 1/2" x 79 1/2"
