Crafted in France circa 1915, the decorative faience vase is signed by the artist J. Cachard and dated 1915.

Shaped as a traditional horn of plenty, the sculptural wall vase features a wide, flared opening that tapers gracefully to a curved, pointed tip. The exterior is richly embellished with raised oak branches, deeply carved leaves, and clusters of acorns, all executed in pronounced high relief. The naturalistic decoration wraps around the vessel, giving the composition remarkable texture, depth, and movement.

The hand-painted majolica glazes combine vibrant shades of emerald green, golden yellow, warm ochre, and deep burgundy, creating a striking contrast that enhances the intricate botanical details. The interior is finished in a rich, glossy dark green glaze, while the exterior displays subtle variations in color characteristic of traditional French barbotine pottery.

The cornucopia, or horn of plenty, has long symbolized abundance, prosperity, and the bounty of nature, making it a popular decorative motif in European ceramic arts. Designed to hold flowers or serve as a decorative wall accent, the piece retains its original hanging device on the back for easy installation.

The antique French wall pocket is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, retaining its vibrant colors and glossy glazed finish. Signed J. Cachard and dated 1915 on the reverse.
