A round travertine bowl, dating from the 1970s, exemplifies the elegant and natural aesthetic typical of that era's design.
The bowl is made of travertine, a form of limestone deposited by mineral springs, especially hot springs. The material is characterized by its porous texture and natural beige colour, which gives the bowl a rustic yet sophisticated look.
The bowl has a low, wide profile with a gently curved, shallow basin. The smooth, rounded edges contribute to its minimalist and timeless design. The bowl has a smooth, rounded shape with a shallow depth, making it suitable as a decorative piece or for holding small items. The interior of the bowl features concentric circular ridges, adding a touch of geometric design to its otherwise simple form.
The surface of the bowl features the characteristic pits and holes of travertine, which add depth and texture to its appearance.
