An original watercolor on paper painting by Antony Pearce, British artist born 1933, "In Time for Midnight", scene of a snowy evening, people in colorful dress crossing a stone bridge towards a stone tower lighted from within with a warm glow, 9" x 6 1/8", signed Antony Pearce in the lower left corner front, inscribed on reverse of the old, damaged frame "In Time for Midnight". CA number 3949, CA purchased late spring 2024 from a southern England auction house. The painting was probably executed in the 1980's or 90's.
The work has been matted with White Museum matboard, blue lined, Conservation Clear glass , museum backing and framed with 5/8" Abe Munn antiqued silver moulding.
Antony primarily works in watercolors and several of his paintings have sold at auction, however very little is known about him.
