This matted vintage original French haute couture fashion drawing is from 1970. Purchased by us in Paris. It is a pen and ink drawing on drawing paper with 2 affixed samples of textured 3D pom- pom fabrics in pinks/reds, yellow/golds with fanciful tulle on luxurious black velour. It is highlighted by a red satin bow. Notations in French describe the floor length dress in detail. The dress is named “MIMOSA” as was typical of haute couture fashion. The atelier stamp, ALGO, denotes the address of the atelier. The drawing is also affixed to a vintage wallpaper that borders the image and enhances its appeal. This is one of a small collection we purchased from a Parisian vendor who specializes in original fashion drawings. This drawing paper is 7 ¾ x 11 ½ inches, drawing with border is 9 x 12 ½ inches.
