A rare and beauteful copper-colored glasslamp by Gustaf Leek for Orrefors in Sweden.
Gustaf Leek was a Swedish designer who worked with glass design. He is best known for his elegant table lamps that he created for Orrefors in the 1960s. These lamps were made of gold-foiled glass and had a unique style.
Orrefors Glassworks has a fascinating history! It was founded in 1726 as an ironworks by Lars Johan Silfversparre. During the 1800s, the mill turned into a sawmill business, and at the end of the century, glass was also manufactured.
Since then, Orrefors has been strongly associated with beautiful crystal glasses, quality and craftsmanship.
Orrefors Glassworks received international attention at the Gothenburg Exhibition in 1923 and the Paris Exhibition in 1925, which was the starting point for their long tradition of innovative design. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
