House of art. Origin italy period 1940s brand casa dell'arte c.d.a. Albisola m. Ceramic factory founded in 1921 in albisola capo, in the province of savona, by giuseppe agnino together with the brothers giulio and angelo barile. The factory specialized in the production of modern artistic ceramics, hiring technical experts such as dario ravano, ivos pacetti and roggiapani, and artists such as the painter manlio trucco, who brought decorative influences from the deco style learned in paris. The factory has collaborated with numerous notable artists, including pietro rabbia, paolo saltarelli and arturo martini. During the 1920s and 1930s, 'la casa dell'arte' participated in many exhibitions, obtaining significant recognition. After the second world war, production resumed but the company began a slow decline, until it closed in 1955, when it was taken over by the pescio brothers. Other artists who collaborated with the factory include ego bianchi, pina olivero, trivora, armando vassallo, and mario gambetta.
