All finely painted in polychrome glazes. The four fan shaped plaques at the top are finely painted depictions of auspicious Chinese vegetables, the four rectangular plaques at the middle are finely painted garden scenes in the Qianjiang style of a mother and her young boys, and the four bottom circular plaques are finely painted auspicious Chinese fruits, all in polychrome glazes. Each of the four rectangular plaques is signed, with two, red seal marks and a short inscription in black caoshu script. The plaques are mounted in four,matching, original, finely carved, reticulated, Chinese, hongmu frames with original Chinese bronze hangers and removable backs. The four outer frames are carved to resemble bamboo, the finely carved reticulation for each piece consists of a Fu Bat at the top flanked by stylized vines, and two Fu bats at the sides flanked by naturally shaped, curving vines, and double, leafy peaches, also flanked by stylized vines; the bottom has double leafy peaches flanked by stylized vines. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
