He had a … Read more Rare maker signed American Classical period mahogany pedestal drop leaf table by New York cabinetmaker Michael Allison(1773-1855). He had a cabinet shop at 42-44 Vesey Street in lower Manhattan. His stamp is present inside the drawer. Along with Duncan Phyfe and Charles-Honore Lannuier the three are considered the most noteworthy of the early 19th C. Cabinetmakers in NYC. The ova stamp in the drawer was used by Allison in the 1808-1815 years. Excellent restored condition. Beautiful mahogany top boards. Measure 28.5” h x 50”w( with leaves up), and 39”d. See less
