After the Sèvres pot pourri model, modelled in two sections, the base with lion masks at both ends, bowsprits protruding from their mouths, the rim pierced with holes, set on a scrolled base with four feet, the cover with a central mast hung with full pierced rigging, a pennant furling down from the top, all richly decorated with blue and gold ground colours, reserved with a Teniers-style scene painted in the reverse with a mixed bouquet of colourful flowers, further garlands hanging from the lion masks, the grounds and rims all richly gilt. Marked on the base with Mesissen signature. Measurements: Height 50 cm (19.7 in) Width 37 cm (14.5 in) Depth 22 cm (8.6 in). See less
