Designed by Baron Haussman, who was Napoleon's choice architect for the Paris revitalization. The window swings open toward back. The glass in window was mirrored at some point to use as decor. Window is cast iron and very heavy. Note on top back left, iron chip. These windows were manufactured at Freteval, France for the project, and the town's name is cast into the metal at bottom of window. The depth, front to back at the top cornice is 15". The mirrored window measures 30.5"H x 20.5"W. See less
