The wonderful Opala floor lamp was designed by Hans Wegner for Louis Poulsen
The Opala series was designed by the architect Hans J. Wegner for the rooms in the Hotel Scandinavia in Copenhagen and has since been used, for example, at the Churchill College of the architect Henning Larsen in Cambridge and at the New Zealand Supreme Court.
The shade is made of acrylic, top made of gray painted aluminum, rod and base made of solid gray painted steel. At the top end the lamp has hardly any visible marks and otherwise stands like a one:
