A shawabty of ushabti was a funerary figurine used in ancient Egyptian funerary practices. The original was described: "It depicts a mummiform figure wearing a royal nemes headdress and long, plaited false beard. The hands rest on the chest, right above left, holding implements of field work. The right holds a small hoe, and the left holds a hoe and a cord to a bag slung over the shoulder. Eight horizontal lines of hieroglyphic text appear on the legs,..." —mfa.org

Although it's not signed we believe this could possibly have been made by Alva Studios (aka Alfred Wolkenberg) who specialized in remakes of famous museum pieces back in the mid-late 20th Century. It's in very nice condition.
