Rex Ashlock was born in Spokane, Washington. Studied at the California School of Fine Arts under David Parks.
Taught at the California College of Arts&Crafts. In 1957 went to NYC taught at the School of the Museum of Modern Art . He returned to San Francisco in 1984
And remained there the rest of his life.
