  • "OK, my memory has come back to me. This is a Knoll Pascal Table, designed by Olivier Mourgue and introduced by Knoll in the mid-80's. It is not a Joe D'Urso design. I think the confusion came up because the so-called "Racetrack Oval" top shape was first introduced on D'Urso tables but then Knoll offered this top shape on its other table designs. You can still find this Pascal Table on line. Knoll apparently still offers it."

  • "David G.: Yes, The caster or rubber glide options were offered on the D'Urso leg and still are (although the caster was not offered on larger stone top versions due to the weight) but not on this Knoll leg which is not a D'Urso design. This leg is a " Plus Sign" (+) shape as per your photo. It is a Knoll leg design for another table."

  • "Georgina W.: The original legs cam with casters to roll the table around. The choice for Knoll gave buyers was to leave the casters or remove them and place a rubber base under the legs. In that sense they are not original without the casters."

  • "David G.: It's a Knoll table base but not the D'Urso leg design. You can see other D'Urso tables on the Chairish site that show the correct D'Urso leg. I know. I used to own this table in granite."

  • "Georgina W.: Actually they are since the table came directly from the Knoll showroom. Were you interested in purchasing the table?"

  • "FYI, these are not the original D'Urso legs that go with this table."

    Nov. 9, 2016, 11:28 a.m.

  • "Do the legs attach directly to the underside of the marble or is there a wooden or metal structure on the underside of the table to attach the legs to? Thank you, Tony"

  • "Hello. Can you tell me how many people can comfortably sit around this table for dinner. Although the photo shows the legs as dark in color, please confirm that they are all chrome as in your description. Is the table base solid; any wobble or sway . Thank you, Tony"

  • "How many people does this table comfortably sit at dinner. Is the table base sturdy and solid; any movement? The photo shows the legs as a dark color but your description read that they are chrome. Please confirm. Tony"

  • "Leslie L.: Hi! 1. The table is in great shape. It's an early 1980's vintage black racetrack oval Carrera marble and chrome leg table designed by Joeseph Paul D'urso for Knoll. The overall measurements are 84“l x 42”d x 27 1/2"h; width between legs: 38 3/4"; depth between legs: 20 3/8". The condition of the table is excellent. The chrome legs need polishing but are in excellent condition and the table has no chips cracks marks and just needs a good polish as well."

  • "What are the dimensions of this table? Of what are the supports made? Are there any defects, and, if so, what are they?"
