A pair of floral serigraph prints by Swedish born artist, Dietrich Grunewald. Bouquets of flowers in blues, cornflower, yellow, olive, and cream are expressively punctuated and outlined in black. Beautifully complimentary carved wood frames are painted in white and blue.
Grunewald (1916-2003) studied in a Stockholm art school and later at American Academy in Chicago. Soon after he settled in San Francisco developing his techniques and moved to Hollywood and became a production designer for major film studios.
After years working for the studios, he went on to work as a freelancer where his work was well known and used for interior decor throughout the U.S.
