This large scale horse head sculpture is most likely late mid-century and is a wonderful equestrian statue for table or pedestal. The horse is reminiscent of a Carousel horse with a bit in his mouth and the remains of a pole in the top of the mane area. Rustic and modern, this sculpture works in many different decorative applications and is reminiscent of antique Italian plaster horses of the same theme and scale.
