Four Japanese, aluminum bicycle wheels, connected to form a sturdy base, with a fifth wheel supporting a tempered glass top. Made to allow for bolting into a concrete exterior slab, but easily and artfully fits into an interior space. This fantastic conversation piece was handmade by Dallas artist Shaun Nelson in the early 2000s. We love the idea of mixing a variety of mediums to express a genuine love and appreciation of the conversation that flows through time in the art world. We can envision this aluminum and glass piece with vintage ceramics and Italian collectible glass pieces displayed upon it, with a few framed oil abstract paintings hung above it, and a sculptural lounge chair next to it; a place to enjoy a lifetime of art appreciation and collecting.
