A pair of complementary, matching porcelain landscape plaques by Master Wang Yeting, finely painted landscapes in red and white glazes, each plaque is signed and has a red, seal mark and a short honorific in black, caoshu script. Framed in the original, finely carved, Chinese, heavy, hardwood frames with original Chinese bronze hangers. Circa Republic of China era. Excellent vintage condition.
Wang Yeting (1884-1942) was one of a group of artists known collectively as the "Eight Friends of Zhushan". He studied at the Jiangxi Ceramics School in Poyang in 1906 and was a student of Xiaogang and Pan Taoyu. He is known for his landscape paintings.
