This vintage Grapevine Globe lamp by renown designer, Carl Falkenstein, has a 3-way light switch (a light up center, base, or you can have them all on at once!).
Mr. Falkenstein was recognized in the post World War II era, when the desire for elegance and sophistication in lighting were at its height of appeal. His unique designs, exceptional craftsmanship, quality of materials and impeccable attention to details, made Falkenstein products synonymous with sophistication and luxury!
His products were versatile and timeless—much to the delight of interior designers, trying to please customers from many design genres: Traditional, Modern and Vintage, alike.
This lamp would work well with an 8x16 shade; originally, Mr. Falkenstein probably would have paired it with a silk shade.
The lamp weighs 9lbs. and is stamped with the Falkenstein name and product number (see pictures).
I used a “demo” lampshade, so as to highlight the effects of the 3-way lighting… :D
