Due to the nature of glassblowing, every Murano fish is individual, and we are fortunate to be able to offer … Read more Due to the nature of glassblowing, every Murano fish is individual, and we are fortunate to be able to offer a harlequin pair of Murano fish in complementary colours with spectacular proportions, measuring 42cm in length and 22cm high! These are the largest examples I’ve been able to find on the market - so a pair is a very rare find and a real decorators piece. This multi-colour glass blowing technique ensures that no one piece is the same. The colourful mouth-blown fish with open mouths and button glass eyes, sit on clear glass fins whilst their three-pronged tails support the body to create wonderful art sculptures.
I have photographed both sides of each fish to demonstrate the variation in colour, eyes, mouth and fins - the white marks are just reflections from the camera flash. The fish are in good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips, and are as vibrant as they appear in the photographs. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
