A long elmwood altar or console table features side panels with carved, stylized ruyi motifs, a sacred fungus and with lingzhi carvings on corner spandrels of apron, symbolizing happiness, wealth and longevity.
The table's straight legs are topped by hand carved spandrels resembling billowing clouds.
Constructed with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery techniques, the elmwood table is still cloaked in its original lustrously-aged paint with fantastic character.
Nice antique patinas and remaining original paint enhance the beauty of this antique Chinese long console table.
This hand crafted console table will serve perfectly behind a sofa or in an entry area.
