This is a wonderful example of Grandjean Jourdan Faux Bois Glazed Ceramics, made in Vallauris in the South of France in the 1950s.
This Glazed Faux Bois Ceramic Pitcher features two hand painted Black Figures, a dancing woman and a Kangaroo.
Grandjean Jourdan was known for his Faux Bois ceramics during that very rich period in the south of France where many important artist where also making ceramics, Picasso, Jean Cocteau, etc...
This pitcher is signed by raw artist , please see photo for signature.
Also marked in hollow at the bottom.
