Magnificent pair of neoclassical marquetry inlaid Demilune cabinets in the Adams Style with brass Anthemion mounts. One long drawer over a pair of doors, opening to a full length shelf. Hand crafted in Italy by David Michael, these cabinets have inlaid motifs including adamesque urns, bellflower garlands, acanthus scrolled, foliage, vines, and florals.

These were used in the Waldorf Astoria and were sold in 2017 when the Hotel was turned into apartments. They are turning it back into a hotel and have just completed at multi billion dollar restoration. Queen Elizabeth, Edward VIII, Marilyn Monroe, Cole Porter and many presidents and dignitaries stayed there.
David Michael’s was chosen as the furniture supplier because of its exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
