Reinhold Begas (1831 - 1911) was active/lived in Germany. Foundry mark is Guss H. Gladenbeck & Sohn. The figure is in the Belle Epoche style of the late 19th century. Classically, a Venus with a vast bounty of hair. Beautifully formed nude in a soft, demure posture. Signed to the pedestal and with the foundry marks also. The measurements are 10.5" tall, and the base is 2.75" by 3". The figure alone is 8.75" tall.
