This antique backless bench from France features a hand-caned seat, set within a wooden frame accentuated with lamb's tongue trim about the perimeter. The apron is nicely carved on all sides with a petite bead trim lining the skirt and rosettes above each leg. The bench is raised on six spiral carved and rounded legs with acanthus leaf wrap and petite bead accents. This early 20th century French bench is approximately 3.75 feet in width, and would be a beautiful addition placed at the foot of a bed, within an entry hall, or perhaps as a window bench. See less
