An assembled pair of large antique blue and white English Staffordshire porcelain serving platters depicting the same design, a scene of India, with temples, a water buffalo and lush vegetation by different makers. The slightly larger one is marked “Rogers,” for John Rogers & Son, ca. 1815-1842, the other, of similar date, is unmarked except for an impressed asterisk mark. There are slight variations in design and rim, shape, making for a bit of contrast between the two versions. Both are in good condition with light wear to the edges, no chips, some slight knife marks to the Rogers platter. Suitable for use or display.
