Stunning large Japanese Showa Era watercolor silk scroll painting depicting Landscape with mountains, river, flying red-crowned cranes, temple at sunrise. Signed and sealed by artist in ink. Signed on back. Very well done. Watercolor and ink on silk. Mounted on silk over paper. Bone-like roller. Excellent condition - minimal age wear on the painting, clean silk mount, minor age wear and foxing on paper back. Can be trimmed and framed. Japan, Showa Era, circa pre-1940s, c. 1920-1930s.
