Very early 1900's antique primitive (handmade) hand crank table top wood barrel type butter churn made by R.B. Dunning, Maine, USA. I have a video of it working but Chairish does not provide a means to attach a video. I do not know if I can attach one to a message you might send me but I can try. The crank turns easily and works just as it should.
It is in great, not at all rickety, condition. It measures about 17" (tall) x 15" x 7 1/2" deep (not including the metal crank sticking out of the churn, or the wood handle attached to the metal crank. When shipped, I will remove the crank/wood handle from the churn to help ensure its integrity. The crank simply sticks back into the churn and the end seats into a spot designed/built for it.

It works just as it should. The handle turns easily and consistently. It has the company who made it stamped on the side but the stamp is faded -- R.D. Dunning, Maine. When filled with cream the churn would have had a cork placed in a hole near the bottom on one side. There is no cork included but any cork would do. The removable top has a hole drilled out where at one time there was a knob or perhaps just a screw sticking out so that the cover would be easier to remove. The cover already has a piece of wood built in to serve as a means for a hand to grab the cover to remove it. I checked and the churn, as offered by R.D. Dunning, did not have the knob -- so the top cover has a screw hole in it that was not original to the piece. less
