The Marbro Lamp Company was founded in Los Angeles in the 1940s by the Markoff family of Beverly Hills and the See family of Chinatown. The company produced collectible lamps in the Hollywood Regency style for 50 years.
Marbro Lamp Company, formerly one of the most important Mid-Century lamp makers, continues to attract enthusiasts and command high prices. Not only because the company no longer exists, but also because of the beautiful, high-quality products it made for nearly 50 years. Marbro Lighting Company lights do not have a single look; rather, they come in a variety of colors, forms and styles. They do have one key characteristic: extraordinarily high quality. Marbro lamps, whether made of Murano glass, alabaster, brass, or porcelain, are still a source of good taste and inspiration in many homes today.
