Her character, Madeline Elster, is one of the most iconic figures in film history and is a classic representation of Hitchcock’s “blonde” leading ladies. She is also remembered as one of the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Being the inspiration of the Kim Contemporary Bar Chair, Novak won two Golden Globe Awards, an Honorary Golden Bear Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
