Victor Noël, charcoal drawings, (set of 2) 1964
Born in Dour on January 3, 1916. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts of Mons, Victor Noël became professor of decorative painting and advertising drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tournai until 1976. A great admirer of the Bauhaus, he became involved in geometric abstraction around 1954. He was a member of the groups Formes, D4, Géoforme and Art Concrete in Hainaut. He also co-founded the magazine Mesures Art International in 1988. Died in Montigny-le-Tilleul on February 1, 2006. This piece has an attribution mark,
