I suspect Cenedese made … Read more These heavy bowls are commonly attributed to Seguso Vetri d'Arte and Flavio Poli as the designer. I suspect Cenedese made some too. The glass is partially blown after having embedded layers of colors. Usually the last and most massive one is the transparent one. The faceting and lens effect make the bowl appear to change color as you move it. The colors of Sommerso are deep aquamarine, uranium yellow and cobalt blue, followed by transparent. Great piece from the 60s. The diameter from corner to corner is 20cm. When comparing to other diamond-shaped Flavio Poli bowls, be sure to compare apples to apples. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
