Complete with handles, a center cartouche, and protective glass, this piece is marked Maple & Co., London – a business established by John Maple in Tottenham Court Road in 1841, one of the prime makers and suppliers of furnishings to the aristocracy and royalty.

This substantial, heavy piece is perfect for use as an open bar, with the glass surface providing protection against spills. It is also ideal for displaying decanters or a tea set; placing on a large coffee table or ottoman to hold beverages; or keeping miscellaneous items neat and contained. The center cartouche is free of monograms and inscriptions. With its understated elegance, it fits seamlessly into a wide range of decors, from classic to contemporary.
