Antique hand-painted porcelain plaque portraying the iconic "Madonna of the Chair" after Raphael Sanzio, whose original masterpiece is housed in the Palazzo Pitti in Florence. The artwork beautifully portrays the Virgin Mary holding the child Jesus, with John the Baptist reverently observing from the side.
The plaque bears the impressed number "456" on the back, a mold number used by the prestigious German porcelain manufacturer Hutschenreuther. This elegant piece is set in an ornate Florentine gilt wood frame, further enhancing this timeless religious subject.
